CRANBERRY SIMPLE SYRUP

Cranberry Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 c Water

  • 1 c Sugar

  • 1 c Cranberries

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan add the water, sugar, and cranberries then bring to a boil.

  2. Lower the heat to a simmer for about 10 minutes.

  3. Remove from the heat and strain into a bowl, pressing down on the cranberries with a spoon to get as much juice as you can.

  4. Pour into a mason jar with a lid and keep in the refrigerator. It should last 2-3 weeks. You want the syrup to cool completely before using.

Tip: You can also freeze the cranberry simple syrup in an ice cube tray and it should last at least 6 months.  Once frozen, remove from the tray and place in a freezer bag, squeezing as much air out as you can then place back into the freezer. Don’t forget to label the bag!!!
