A festive way to serve Caprese Salad.

Holiday Caprese Salad

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1-2 vine-ripe Tomatoes (depends on how big the tomatoes are), thick slices about ¼ inch thick

  • 1 pound fresh Mozzarella Cheese, pre-sliced

  • Basil Sprigs as garnish

  • Extra Virgin Olive oil for drizzling

  • Balsamic glaze or Balsamic Vinegar for drizzling

  • Coarse Kosher Salt and Pepper 

Directions

  1. Layer the tomato slices and fresh mozzarella slices into the shape of a candy cane on a festive platter.

  2. Garnish with basil sprigs. 

  3. Serve with olive oil and balsamic vinegar or balsamic glaze

  4. Season with salt and pepper
