GRILLED CHEESE CROUTONS

Grilled Cheese Croutons

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 4 Slices of Bread

  • 2 Tbsp Butter, room temperature

  • 4 Slices White American Cheese

  • 1 Tsp Yellow Mustard (optional)

Directions

  1. Butter one side of each of the four slices of bread about ½ tbsp each and make sure you butter all the way to the edges. Add two of the buttered sides down in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. 

  2. If you're adding the yellow mustard spread over top of the bread then top with two slices of cheese on each slice then top with the other two pieces of bread buttered side up.

  3. Cook until the bread is toasted and cheese is melting, then flip the sandwich over and toast the other side.

  4. Remove from the skillet and let sit for a couple minutes.

  5. Cut the sandwich into bite size pieces and return to the skillet over medium heat and saute for about two minutes then flip them over for another 2 minutes.

Serve immediately with your favorite soup!
