PARMESAN CHICKEN WINGS

I prefer to buy the party wings (the wingette which is the flat part and the drumette are already separated for you).

Parmesan Chicken Wings  

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs party chicken wings 

  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 ½ tsp coarse kosher salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • Zest of a lemon

  • 1 lemon, juiced  

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 3 tbsp shredded parmesan cheese

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

  1. Mix the wings in a bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper.  

  2. Add to a rimmed sheet pan with nonstick cooking spray (line with aluminum foil to reduce clean up).  

  3. Bake for 50-55 minutes, turning wings half way through.

  4. In a saucepan, melt butter, turn off heat and add minced garlic, oregano, lemon zest, lemon juice and 1 tablespoons parsley. 

  5. Add cooked wings to a large bowl and toss with the butter mixture.  Mix in 2 tablespoons of shredded parmesan cheese. 

  6. Plate the wings and garnish with 1 tablespoon parsley and 1 tablespoon shredded parmesan.
