Sautéed Green Beans  

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Green Beans

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced

  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds

  • 1 tbsp Lemon Pepper

  • 1 tbsp Butter

  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil over medium heat. 

  2. Add the beans and blanch them for 2 minutes. Immediately remove the beans from the water and add them to an ice bath to stop the cooking process. 

  3. Once cooled, drain and pat dry.

Do Ahead tip:  blanch the green beans earlier in the day and store in a container in the refrigerator until you are ready to finish the cooking.

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. Add the green beans. 

  3. Cover, and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.  

  4. Uncover, add in the butter, garlic, lemon pepper and sesame seeds and sauté for 4-5 minutes.  Off heat, add soy sauce and serve.
