BROWNIE’s WITH CHOCOLATE FROSTING TOPPED WITH HEATH BAR CRUMBLES

Brownies with Chocolate Frosting & Heath Bar Crumbles

Brownie Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, melted

  • ⅔ cup cocoa  

  • 1 ¾ cups sugar

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup flour

  • ½ cup chopped walnuts and/or mini chocolate chips - optional

Directions

  1. Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

  2. In another bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar and vanilla

  3. Add eggs and mix well 

  4. Add flour mixture and stir in nuts if using

  5. Add batter into a 9x13 greased pan.  

Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean. Set aside to cool.

Chocolate Frosting Ingredients

  • ½ c Butter, softened

  • 2 c Confectioners Sugar

  • 1 Tsp Vanilla

  • ⅔ c Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

  • ⅛ - ¼ c Whole Milk

  • ½ c Heath Bar crumbles

Directions

  1. Add the butter to a large bowl and beat using an electric stand mixer, slowly add the confectioners sugar on low speed until blended well (about 3-4 minutes)

  2. Add the vanilla and the cocoa powder and blend on low speed.

  3. Add the milk in small amounts until you get the consistency to be able to spread the frosting on the brownies.

  4. Spread the frosting on the cooled brownies, sprinkle with heath bar crumbles, then cut and serve.

Will last 3-5 days in an airtight container.
