LOCANICO (GREEK SAUSAGE) SKEWERS

I make this appetizer for our family 4th of July party every year and they get eaten faster than I can make them!

Locanico (Greek Sausage) Skewers

Makes 12 Skewers

Ingredients

  • 2 Locanico Sausages

  • 12 cubes of Feta Cheese

  • 12 Cherry Tomatoes

  • 12 Mini Skewers

Directions

  1. Cook the Locanico on the grill over medium heat.  The sausage is done once golden brown on all sides.

  2. Slice the locanico in ¼ inch round pieces (you will not use all of the locanico, save the extra and add to your scrambled eggs for breakfast!)

  3. Thread the skewer with a cherry tomato, then feta and last with a piece of the locanico.  You want the locanico last so the skewer will sit flat.  

  4. Place on a pretty platter and serve.

The skewers can be served warm or at room temperature.
