Pita Chips

Ingredients

  • 2 packages of Syrian bread

  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil

  • ¼ c Balsamic Vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp oregano

  • 1 Tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 ½ Tsp Salt

  • 1 Tsp Cumin

  • ½ Tsp Black Pepper

Directions

Preheat the oven 325°F

  1. Whisk olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, seasoned salt and pepper together. Set aside.

  2. Stack the Pita Bread 4 high, cut in half, cut again in half and cut remaining wedges into 4 pieces. Repeat again until all the bread is in wedge pieces. Then separate the pockets.

  3. Using a brush, paint pita bread liberally with marinade on both sides.

  4. Place pita wedges on a rimmed sheet pan, single layer and bake for 15 minutes or until crispy.
