Applesauce

Makes about 2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Apples (about 7), peeled, cored and sliced

  • ⅓ c Water

  • Juice of ½ Lemon

  • ¼ c Brown Sugar

  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon

Directions

  1. Add the apples, water and lemon juice to a medium sized saucepan and bring to a boil, turn down to a simmer for 15 minutes.

  2. Stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon.

  3. Puree in a food processor or immersion blender.  If you prefer a chunky style applesauce use a potato masher.

  4. Serve warm or chilled with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
