BAKLAVA ICE CREAM

If you have leftover Baklava (that is a big if!!) make ice cream with it. It is so delicious, you have to try it!

Baklava Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ quarts vanilla ice cream

  • 3 c Baklava chopped

Directions

  1. Cut the Baklava up into chunks and set aside.

  2. If you have an ice cream maker you can make your own using 1 ½ cups whole milk, 1 cup of sugar, 1 ½ tablespoons vanilla extract, 3 cups heavy cream. Mix well and add to the ice cream maker.  

  3. If you do not, purchase your favorite vanilla store bought ice cream and let it sit out on the counter for 15 minutes.  It needs to be on the softer side to mix in the baklava.

  4. Mix the vanilla ice cream and the baklava together in a bowl.  

  5. Once mixed add back into the container and into the freezer for at least 4 hours.
