TOASTED COCONUT

Toasted Coconut adds great flavor to desserts like cakes and cupcakes.  It is also very yummy sprinkled on top of ice cream, yogurt and cream pies. Also works well on a pretty rim for specialty martini’s!  It's YUM all the way around.

Toasted Coconut

Ingredients

  • 2 c Sweetened Coconut Flakes 

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350F

  1. Spread the coconut in an even layer on a rimmed sheet pan and add into the oven on the middle rack.

  2. Cook for 10-12 minutes but watch closely as the coconut toasts very quickly.  Stir every 2 minutes, this will allow the coconut to brown up evenly.

  3. As soon as it turns golden brown remove from the oven.

  4. Let cool completely.

Store any leftover coconut in an airtight jar or container. It will last for about a month.
