STRAWBERRY MOJITO

A refreshing summer time cocktail and festive for the 4th of July holiday!

Strawberry Mojito

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup of white rum

  • 1 - 12 ounce can of sprite or 7up

  • 4 lime wedges, extra for garnish

  • 4 Small or 2 Large Strawberries, cleaned and destemmed

  • 8-10 mint leaves

  • 2 sugar cane sticks, optional

  • 2-3 tablespoons dark rum

  • Tools - Muddler

Directions

  1. In two 12 ounce glasses, add 1 lime wedge, strawberry (2 small or 1 large) and 4-5 mint leaves to each glass and muddle (gently mash the mint, strawberries and limes to release their juices)

  2. Add enough ice to fill the glass ¾ full of ice

  3. Add ⅓ c rum to each glass

  4. Add ½ the sprite to each glass or until the glass is ¾ full and stir.

  5. Add the sugar cane stick if you have them.

  6. Float the dark rum on top about 1 ½ tbsp in each glass - do not stir.

  7. Garnish with mint leaves and lime wedge.
